It was a cold Christmas Eve, and snowflakes were falling gently. The streetlights were dim and hazy. Mary and her family sat around the fireplace, enjoying this cozy night. However, their joy did not last long.

Suddenly, a strange sound came from outside the window, like footsteps or the roar of some animal. Mary felt a sense of unease. She walked to the window, pulled back the curtain, but saw nothing. Just as she was about to close the window, she saw a familiar red figure—it was Santa Claus!

However, this Santa Claus was different from usual. There was an evil glow in his eyes, and his smile became twisted and terrifying. He wore a black robe and held a black cane instead of the usual red bag.

Mary felt a surge of fear and hurried back to the fireplace to tell her family what she had seen. However, when they came to the window, Santa Claus had already disappeared. They thought it was just a misunderstanding and continued to celebrate Christmas.

But the following events were even stranger. They began to hear strange noises in the house, like someone whispering or crying. They searched everywhere but found nothing.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang. Mary braced herself to open the door, only to find no one outside. She went back into the house and found that the Christmas tree in the living room had fallen over and the gifts were scattered all over the floor. Even more terrifyingly, she saw a string of black footprints beside the fireplace, extending all the way to the staircase.

They decided to call the police, but when the police arrived soon after, they said they found nothing. They told Mary and her family that it might just be a prank.

However, terrifying things kept happening in the following hours. They heard impacts from upstairs and saw a black handprint on the window. They tried to escape from the house, but the door would not open no matter what.

Finally, they decided to hide in the basement. However, they soon found that there was already a figure in the basement. It was Santa Claus! His eyes were filled with evil, and his smile became twisted and terrifying. He walked towards them, singing the Christmas carol, but the song became gloomy and terrifying.

Just as he was about to catch them, Mary suddenly woke up. She found herself lying on the bed, and the sun had already risen outside the window. She felt relieved, thinking it was just a nightmare.

However, when she walked to the living room, she still saw a string of black footprints beside the fireplace. She felt a surge of fear because she knew that the terrifying Santa Claus was not just a hallucination in her dream, but a real existence.
